Earth Day Omaha is April 19th, 2014

The 24th Annual Earth Day Omaha, the city’s largest ecological showcase and celebration, will take place Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Elmwood Park (http://g.co/maps/4b2ch).

The free event features exhibit booths, children’s activities, a farmers market, demonstrations and short speaker sessions, plus live music from top local bands and food from area vendors. All activities are designed to educate and inspire attendees to live green and healthy at home and at work. 

Good things to know:

  • Carpool or rideshare . Parking is available in the UNO garage.
  • Dogs are welcome!
  • An ATM is available on-site.
  • Metro bus #2 and #11 pass close by Elmwood Park. Use Google Maps to find your best route and don't forget that you can bring your bike on the bus or park and ride
  • Bike to Elmwood via the Keystone Trail or nearby streets. Check out Activate Omaha's commuter map for the best route.
